George Khalife is a sales & marketing professional with a background in finance and the DNA of an entrepreneur.
At 25 years old, George became the Director of Business Development for Sampford Advisors – Canada’s #1 mid-market Tech M&A firm. In this role, George is helping grow Sampford’s business in Toronto and establish a strong brand nationally. Prior to this, George was leading the sales efforts for the Toronto Stock Exchange in Toronto/Waterloo & NYC covering the innovation sector. At the TSX, George was working with aspiring startups and connecting them to private/public investors with the eventual goal of taking them public.
By day, he works with entrepreneurs, and by night he becomes one himself.
• Co-Founder & CEO at BookBack – an app for students to trade, buy and/or sell books (available in Stores for iOS & Android). In just the first day of launch, BookBack cracked the top 100 charts for free apps under the “Books” category and has been featured in several media publications like CheddarU, Toronto Guardian, The961, and leCommerce.
• Founder & Host at Let’s Grab Coffee – a podcast that aims to interview successful individuals in different industries (29 episodes and counting).
• Blogger at georgekhalife.com (ranked as one of the top Lebanese blogs to follow as per The961.com) and published author on LinkedIn.
• Community Builder – work with youth influencers to create & co-host events that advocate for and promote innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.
• Speaker – has spoken at Telfer School of Management (sales workshop), Shopify (ImpactX), League of Innovators, University of Toronto (entrepreneurial workshop), and was the Keynote Speaker at IEEE’s Annual Canadian Student Congress.
Having travelled to 30+ countries, and lived in 4 (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Canada), George has developed the ability to get a better understanding of different cultures and adapt (personally & professionally) to changing environments. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is also the reason why he does things like scuba diving / sky diving, to constantly challenge himself and overcome fear (false expectation appearing real).
George is a proud graduate of the Telfer School of Management (University of Ottawa) holding a Bachelors in Finance and a certificate in Personal Financial Services Advice (PFSA) from the Canadian Securities Institute.
