My life in a nutshell

A Lebanese-Canadian now living and working in the United States.

At 26 years old, George became the youngest Vice President at the Toronto Stock Exchange – based out of Chicago to help U.S. companies in the Midwest go public in Canada. Previous to joining the TSX, George lead the marketing & business development for a growing financial technology startup, owl.co and before that led the business development office in Toronto for Canada’s #1 mid-market technology M&A firm called Sampford Advisors.

By day, he works with entrepreneurs

, and by night he becomes one himself.

In just the first day of launch, BookBack cracked the top 100 charts for free apps under the “Books” category and has been featured in several media publications like CheddarU, Toronto Guardian, The961, and leCommerce.

Personal Life

Having travelled to 30+ countries, and lived in 4 (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Canada), George has developed the ability to get a better understanding of different cultures and adapt (personally & professionally) to changing environments. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is also the reason why he does things like scuba diving / sky diving, to constantly challenge himself and overcome fear (false expectation appearing real).
Education:

George is a proud graduate of the Telfer School of Management (University of Ottawa) holding a Bachelors in Finance and a certificate in Personal Financial Services Advice (PFSA) from the Canadian Securities Institute.
